Absorbent hammocks

Ferrets and rats just love hammocks for relaxing and snoozing – but some like to toilet on them too.

Regular hammocks are made with two layers of fleece or cotton, which just get wet and they can get stinky. Animals stay wet too…..eeeew!

Guinea pigs don’t mind a low hammock either – and they like to toilet just about anywhere!

So, we’re now including a range of hammocks which have a layer of absorbent material inside, just like our fleece cage liners – so they’ll soak up those little puddles, whilst keeping your pets dry and comfortable.

SIZE RANGE: We’ll start with a basic range of square ones 30cm x 30cm, 45cm x 45cm

Do you have a GRID type cage with a loft area ? –

Absorbent hammocks are a great addition to your C&C style cages – especially in the loft area.

Got a 2×1 C&C loft – try the 32cm square absorbent hammock – fits perfect down one end of the loft.

Or a 2 grids wide absorbent hammock (65x32cm) – fits across the cage – perfect under the loft, or over one end of the main floor area. Hang it low for easy access.

Hanging loops are made of grossgrain ribbon, or 4mm black cord, , and 4 metal hanging clips are included also.

NOTE: To extend the hanging loops you can use chain, cord, rope etc as you choose.

Guinea pigs need hammocks hung close to the ground to ensure safe entry and exit.

CLEANING: Hammocks are easy to wash – warm soapy water, by hand or machine – no softener.

Remove clips before popping them into your washing machine as they can damage metal surfaces during cycle.

CHOOSING FABRICS – Choose two – one for each side FLEECE FABRIC ONLY.
